Laura Kaiser, MBA, BSN, RN, SANE-A is the Executive Director of Forensic Nursing Network, Inc., a nonprofit organization that trains and supports forensic programs. Laura has completed Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training for pediatrics, adolescent, and adults in both military and civilian populations. She’s practiced as a forensic nurse for over twenty years. Laura’s received national certification as a sexual assault nurse examiner for the adult/adolescent population. She has presented at numerous local and international conferences on multiple forensic topics including Human Trafficking, Sexual Assault, and other forms of intentional violence.

Heather Wilde

Director of Education

Heather, an Otterbein College graduate with over 25 years in nursing, transitioned from intensive care to a pivotal role as a Forensic Nurse Examiner and now serves as the Director of Education for Forensic Nursing Network, focusing on educating healthcare professionals and collaborative partners on medical forensic topics. She employs simulation techniques in training to better prepare professionals in caring for patients affected by intentional violence. Heather also contributes her skills as a forensic nurse examiner to Mt. Carmel Health System in Columbus. Additionally, Heather chairs the Ohio Attorney General's Healthcare Subcommittee with the Human Trafficking Initiative where she spearheads efforts to increase awareness in the healthcare sector and beyond throughout Ohio.

Angella McMahan

Forensic Education Specialist

Angella is an accomplished registered nurse with thirty-three years of experience, the last ten of which have been dedicated to forensic nursing. She proudly holds board certification as a sexual assault nurse examiner for pediatrics, adolescents, and adults through the International Association of Forensic Nurses. She’s played a pivotal role in enhancing forensic nursing education by developing and implementing practicums and simulations. Angella has trained and mentored new forensic nurses and created a comprehensive orientation program for forensic nursing staff. She has also made impactful presentations at universities, covering topics such as non-fatal strangulation, sexual assault, trauma-informed care, and intimate partner violence, which were also integral to her teaching for hospital residents.
