Put your skills into practice through an interactive, case-based simulation designed for practicing forensic nurses
Participants will work through a drug-facilitated sexual assault presentation through discharge. The training provides hands-on opportunities to practice history taking, evidence collection, injury documentation and photography, while working through the clinical decisions that arise throughout a forensic examination.
Facilitated discussion will address DFSA considerations, medication management, reporting, chain of custody, safety planning, follow-up care, and challenging clinical situations. Participants will have the opportunity to compare practices, discuss protocols, ask questions, and strengthen skills in a supportive simulation environment.
